Whenever you’re actively viewing a lead in LeadSigma, that lead is locked to other users. That means that no other user simultaneously working in LeadSigma can edit that lead’s information or contact him through the app. They have to wait until you move to a different lead or screen and thus unlock the lead. Lead locking prevents redundant or conflicting communications from multiple users that might otherwise confuse and frustrate the lead.
Here’s what it looks like:
1. Within a lead’s information, there’s a little note at the bottom stating, “This lead is locked to you.” That means no one else can mess with that lead while you keep it open:
2. To unlock the lead, meaning to let someone else use and edit that lead, simply click Unlock:
If you’re locked out of a lead and you really need to access it, you can override another user’s lock. If another user’s working with a lead, you’ll see an Override Lead button. Press it, then hit Confirm in the pop-up box that appears:
