When a lead reaches the end of a sequence, you can do two things: move the lead to another sequence or leave the lead in place with no further planned tasks.
Start with moving leads to another sequence. If leads don’t respond to our outreach on their initial sequence, we can keep trying with a lower-density sequence, meaning a sequence with more spaced-out communications. You might move a lead from Warm Leads to Cool Leads, or even to a custom-made holding sequence with the next outreach scheduled up to 99 days out. Check out our article on sequences to learn how to create and customize them. You could also move a lead to a sequence with special offer text messages. It's your call. Whichever option you choose, here's how sequence transfer looks in the app:
1. Go to Sequences on the left sidebar:
2. Click Edit for the starter sequence (the sequence the leads will reach the end of):
3. Scroll to the bottom of the starter sequence until you see the End-of-Sequence Action box. Choose the sequence you want your leads to flow into, then hit Save:
4. Your other option is to not send those leads anywhere. They’ll still sit in this sequence, but without tasks. To do this, you’d select None from the “Transfer leads to” dropdown. Then, if you ever wanted to see all of those leads in one place, you’d just go to Leads and filter for that sequence and Pending status.
